“Service unites.” – This year’s trade fair motto of Jowat highlights the benefits from a complete service for innovative solutions for adhesive processors: Close customer support, technical advisory service and quality control, as well as the transfer of know-how; all this through the entire process chain. In short: Understanding – Bonding – Performing.
New technologies in mattress manufacturing
This year, Jowat is presenting at interzum powerful PUR hot melts from the Jowatherm-Reaktant® product group for superior bonding results and optimised manufacturing processes in the production of mattresses. The reactive hot melts are characterised by higher yield compared to other systems, and better adhesion on the different substrates used in the assembly of foam mattresses with an increasing number of layers. In addition, these adhesives have improved wetting/penetration of the materials and are ideal for applications with high requirements, for instance regarding sterilisation. Due to the faster build-up of strength of the adhesive, the PUR technology facilitates a faster packaging of the mattresses and therefore more efficient manufacturing processes.
Powerful primers for edgebands and foils
Innovative primers developed by Jowat ensure an optimum adhesion of adhesives on materials which are difficult to bond and require a surface treatment. These adhesion promoters are crucial for high bonding strength as well as for the aging resistance and consequently for the durability of the bond. The modern primer portfolio ranges from new toluene-, THF-, NMP- and NEP-free solvent-based primers to non hazardous water-based primers.
For highest requirements in edgebanding
A new unfilled PUR hot melt adhesive meets highest requirements for quality and appearance. The PUR hot melt Jowatherm Reaktant® 608.00 meets the highest standards with regard to a superior appearance of the bondline due to substantially reduced application amounts and the transparent adhesive film. In addition, the adhesive is also characterised by a wide range of adhesion, excellent thermal stability, and high green strength. An unfilled granulate version of this PUR hot melt which has been introduced for the first time is easy to process and makes this adhesive particularly attractive to processors who are new to the PUR technology.
