Around the world, demand for sustainable bonding solutions is rising and is increasingly playing a crucial role, especially in packaging companies serving the food industry. For Jowat, sustainability has several different aspects. Therefore, the “Green Adhesives” product line supplied by the globally active adhesive manufacturer provides adhesives with high contents of bio-based raw materials and particularly energy-efficient, process-optimized and food-safe bonding solutions. Another major focus in the development of Jowat adhesives are clean processing characteristics such as low stringing.

The bio-based adhesive solutions of the Jowatherm® GROW range provide powerful hot melt adhesives based on pine resins. Jowatherm® GROW 853.20 is particularly resource-friendly due to a certified content of bio-based raw materials of over 30% coupled with a processing temperature starting from 130°C. The very clean cut-off at the nozzle can prevent soiled machine parts and packaging. Jowatherm® GROW 853.22 contains an even higher proportion of bio-based raw materials—over 50%. In addition, this adhesive impresses with a very broad range of adhesion for a reliable bonding of even difficult surfaces. It is also an attractive partner in deep-freeze applications due to its high flexibility at low temperatures.

Sustainable energy savings of up to 45% are facilitated by the hot melt adhesive Jowat-Toptherm® 851.99. This Jowat adhesive couples a very low processing temperature starting from 99°C with a wide range of adhesion and robust universal characteristics. Its low application temperatures make it particularly interesting for temperature-sensitive products such as deep-freeze food or confectionery. In addition, this modern hot melt adhesive with very clean processing characteristics has a MOAH-free formulation (below the typical detection limit) and can therefore also be used for the packaging of nonperishable dry or fatty foods.

The experts of Jowat SE will be available for a personal exchange of information at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne: hall 8.1, booth A085.
