When creativity, wood and adhesives come together.

In the foyer of Jowat Swiss AG in Buchrain, visitors and staff will in the future be welcomed by the wooden sculpture “Wood in Motion“ by the well-known Swiss artist Urs-P. Twellmann.

Buchrain.- On the 27th of August 2014, Dr Hannes Frank, Member of the Supervisory Board of Jowat AG, Detmold, presented the sculpture “Wood in Motion“ to the public.

Dr Hannes Frank, donor of the work of art, takes a particular personal interest in introducing art to the World of Jowat. Beyond his artistic statement, the artist Urs-P. Twellmann also demonstrated his special association with the raw material wood and created his work using the Jowat adhesives manufactured in Buchrain. He was supported in this project by the company for wooden construction, Blumer-Lehmann AG, Gossau, who in 2008 had already built the corporate facilities of Jowat Swiss AG in Buchrain, also a wooden structure.

“Mr Twellmann was recommended to us as well-known artist who is focusing practically exclusively on wood. We have chosen the object “Wood in Motion“ together from his draft designs, since we consider this very impressive in its artistic statement, and beyond this, it was also created using the material wood while additionally employing Jowat Polyurethane adhesives“, is the explanation given by Dr Hannes Frank for his motives in choosing artist and object.
