07 at the forefront of energy change and technology. Just like the global SDSN, SDSN Germany considers the intensive cooperation with the economic and industrial sector as crucial. We are very pleased to find that more and more companies are committed to a sustainable development and make sustainability an integral component of their strategy for growth and innovation. When the resentments and fears of contact among politics, economics and society are allayed, this also is a form of thinking differently, which lays the groundwork for new options for action. The concept of sustainable development already comes with a plethora of ideas for corporate change. A new consensus throughout the global community can and should create new incentives - combining economic power, social responsibility and the protection of the ecological system Earth. 2015 is a make or break year. Can the world get together to think differently? SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT Author Adolf Kloke-Lesch Adolf Kloke-Lesch studied Urban and Regional Planning (Dipl.-Ing.) and participated in a postgraduate class of the German Development Institute (Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik/DIE). From 1978 to 2010, he held various positions in the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation, (BMZ) finally as Head of the Directorate-General for Global and Sectorial Policies; European and Multilateral Development Policy; Africa and Middle East. From 2011 to 2012, he was Managing Director for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, followed by a position as Associate Fellow in the German Development Institute (Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik/DIE), since autumn of 2014 he is now Executive Director of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network – SDSN Germany.
