07 Author Dr Bettina Horster With a degree in computer science, Dr Bettina Horster is head of the Business Development and Consulting department at VIVAI Software AG and in charge of Industry 4.0. She directed one of the first European pro- jects in Industry 4.0, which was awarded in 2014 by the “Germany – Land of Ideas” initiative of the German Federal Government and the BDI (“Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie”, German industry association). For many years, she was a consultant of the ministry of economics of the Federal Republic of Germany, Berlin and the Government of North-Rhine Westphalia for mobile technology questions. She has been a pioneer in mobile services since 1996 and had a great impact on the mobile sector with various studies, events, scientific elaborations and extensive PR activities. Since 1999, she is head of the Competence Group Mobile at eco – the largest European association of the Internet Industry. share it with other participants on the market.
