Agility in the sunny south Phillippe Esvelin, Regional Manager Very few can match Phillippe Esvelin when it comes to knowledge of the ad- hesive markets in southern Europe and NorthAfrica.After 13 years of experience in the field and in the relevant markets while working as a sales representative and another 5 years at Jowat France, Phillippe Esvelin is now Regional Man- ager in the international Sales Team at Jowat, generating sales growth for the enterprise in the Spanish and North Afri- can markets. The commitment to always provide the best solution to the specific regional requirements is his driving force and definition of agility. “Our clients are always looking for innovative solutions. Working together with them to deliver these solutions and succeeding in this task is what makes this a very fascinat- ing challenge,” says Phillippe Esvelin. 22 Enthusiasm and technology Serpil Arioz, Technical Customer Service Manager “My work is my passion. This keeps me agile on many levels and leads to suc- cess.” This is how Serpil Arioz describes agility in relation to herself. Serpil Arioz grew up in Istanbul and worked for 17 years in the R&D department of a global Turkish adhesive manufacturer, where she accumulated a great amount of ex- pertise in the field, before becoming a Technical Customer Service Manager of the newly created department of Jowat Atasoy. Her tasks include choosing the proper adhesives for the Turkish market, supporting customers during adhesive trials and selection of the most appro- priate configuration, including training sessions. Guiding customers success- fully through a technological change and assisting them at this process is a special challenge for Serpil Arioz. What impresses her most at Jowat is “the high level of product quality combined with a first-class technical service.” Handover Dirk Segger, Production For 22 years, Plant Manager Uwe Leh- meier contributed significantly with his commitment and expertise to the de- velopment of the Jowat World. Now, he will enter his well-earned retirement and handed responsibilities over to his former deputy. Dirk Segger has been working for Jowat for more than 15 years, support- ing Plant Management since 2006 as a software developer of proprietary data- base applications and machine control systems. In addition, he supervises the commissioning of new machinery at all global locations. The mixed responsi- bilities of his position are especially ap- pealing to Dirk Segger: leading a team of employees on the one hand, and controlling and linking machines and processes on the other. Since his team often has to provide solutions for unpre- dictable issues, agility and flexibility are key requirements in their daily work.
