Jowat, the adhesives specialist from Detmold, to showcase first PUR hot melt granules for edgebanding with hazard-free labelling in world premiere just in time for the Holzhandwerk trade fair.

Jowat has been successfully developing alternative manufacturing technologies for PUR hot melt adhesives with hazard-free labelling since the early 2000s. Today, the Jowatherm-Reaktant® MR series supplied by the adhesives manufacturer provides an extensive PUR portfolio of monomer-reduced products for a wide range of applications in the wood and furniture industry. At this year’s Holzhandwerk show in Nuremberg, Germany, Jowat will be presenting a world first of that product family. The tried and tested, non-hazardous edgebanding adhesive Jowatherm-Reaktant® MR 607.90 is now also available as granules. It can be used for bonding established edgebands (ABS, PP, PVC, veneer, resinated paper) in a continuous operation on edgebanding machines.

Another highlight at the trade fair will be the adhesives manufacturer’s comprehensive portfolio of certified one-component prepolymer PUR glues from the Jowapur® 681.xx product family for load-bearing glulam. Those adhesives can be used for fingerjointing assemblies as well as for laminating, allow for the choice of assembly times between 10 and 60 minutes and facilitate an assembly time-pressing time ratio of up to 1:1.

Jowat SE’s presence at the trade fair is aimed at once more demonstrating the enterprise’s closeness to customers from the craft sector and the issues relevant to that target group. Therefore, Jowat will also be showcasing new additional small containers at its booth. And a classic of the craft sector is enjoying a revival: Jowacoll® 119.60, the lacquer glue for bonding extremely challenging surfaces is now again available with a new, improved formulation.

Innovation and know-how for craft and industry – at the Jowat booth at Holzhandwerk in Nuremberg, from 18 to 21 March 2020, hall 11.0 booth 302.
