Increasing the sustainability in bonding is part of Jowat’s mission statements. To meet the major objective of resource conservation, we focus on the adhesive itself but also on the bonding process.
Products based on renewable ingredients provide a multitude of possibilities for the conservation of resources. The GROW product line from Jowat supplies adhesives with a verified high content of renewable raw materials.
Hot melt adhesives with low processing temperatures (“low-temp”) facilitate a considerable reduction in energy consumption as well as the optimisation of work environments and increased occupational safety by reducing the risk of burning.
Jowat has successfully been developing alternative manufacturing technologies for PUR hot melt adhesives not subject GHS hazard labelling requirements since the early 2000s. These monomer-reduced (MR) products with a minimised content of diisocyanate monomer can be processed in many fields of production that are free of hazardous substances. Processors are being protected and adhesive applications are made possible without the need of additional training for the employees.
Further emission-reduced (ER) adhesives with very low emissions of formaldehyde, plasticisers and solvents support manufacturers in the production of low-pollutant products that are essential to the protection of the environment.
