P|10 Progress The catalogue of standards, resulting form the legal requirements and the specific properties of the various goods, reflects the level of demands that all food pa- ckaging systems in the food industry must comply with. The role of the adhesives in this environment, and their special challenges, is outlined by Manfred Kubo, Di- rector of the Industrial Division Paper and Packaging. Sensitive, because of their relevance for the health of the consumer, and in consequence protected by special consumer laws.
