Insight Into the Jowat History: Refoundation as “Jowat Lobers und Frank KG” in Detmold

After having fled in the company car to Lippe, a key region in the German furniture industry, the enterprise was re-established in 1945 as “Jowat Lobers und Frank KG” in Detmold. Due to the wide range of applications of its products, Jowat was able to accommodate the diverse requirements in the furniture industry, which facilitate a fast development of business relationships. Four employees from Breslau kept faith with Jowat and continued work in Detmold, which had remained virtually untouched by the war.
